The year 2010 may have been a great year for sports, what it was not, however, was a great year for sports marriages. May the coming year bring more matrimonial bliss to the athletes we love to watch and the women they love to love (well, the ones the public knows about). On the bright side, it seems as if more eligible females are returning to the marketplace for all you eligible men out there with sub-4.5 40 times, silky smooth jumpers, rocket-launching arms and refined short games. In this annual recap, we’ll take at a look at the ladies on the prowl and those more likely to be officially un-caged than one might have guessed just 12 months ago.Elin Nordegren You can’t talk about the 2010 year in sports without a mention of the epic Tiger Woods sexcapades, resulting in a multimultimillion (not a typo) dollar divorce settlement. The former Swiss model has not yet been sighted returning to the dating arena, though her ex-husband is back on the golf course after a brief hiatus in which he unsuccessfully left the Tour in order to prioritize his marriage. Regardless, bachelors on both sides of the pond will soon be swooning once again for the blonde bombshell.Eva Longoria Technically still Eva Longoria Parker, at least until the divorce paperwork is final, the former bride of San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker. Amid allegations of infidelity on the part of the French basketball star, the split went public in November, rumored to also involve the once happy household of Brent and Erin Barry (Parker’s one-time teammate). Before their high profile celebrity wedding, Eva was a bona fide Hollywood star in her own right, most famous for her lead role in the popular TV show Desperate Housewives.Deanna Favre In the rollercoaster ride that has been her relationships with NFL legend and prolific passer Brett Favre, Deanna and Brett have overcome alcohol and painkiller addictions, along with personal tragedies, yet have stuck together through thick and thin. The allegations against Favre of sending inappropriate texts and voicemails to New York Jets Gameday host Jenn Sterger may not be enough to break up the Favres, though would be more than enough to dismantle most couples. Deanna has done a lot of good with her fame by association, raising both money and awareness for breast cancer victims across the nation, as she is a survivor, diagnosed in 1994.
